40-minute boat Ride to Eco-lodge San Miguel del Bala (located in the middle of the jungle) via Beni River. Accommodation in typical style cabins with private bathroom and shower. Along a local tour guide, stroll through the rainy forest and learn the ancient hunting techniques of the Tacanas.  Starting form the setting of various traps, the tour guide will explain how the Tacanas would get meat and hides of jaguars, wild boars, monkeys, birds and tapirs.  Listening to talk a lot about food, lunch will be ready by then. All the dishes will have been prepared with local ingredients and local and ancient recopies will have been used.
A little nap will restore energy for the afternoon schedule which starts with a short walk to San Miguel community. The tour guide will explain about the local routine, farming, construction techniques, religion, crafts making and local customs.  The most interesting experience is the preparation of sugar cane juice in a trapiche – a manual sugar making mill. Those who know the length and hard process of making sugar know very well what sweetening a cup of coffee really means.
If the visitor is tired and cannot go back to the lodge on foot, a boat is available for such journey. Once back “at home” – the lodge dinner will be ready.  If the visitor is still interested in more, the guide will tell some stories of the jungle and community as well. After a long day, sack time will be the only thing left to do.

Day 2

The day starts with a unique breakfast at the lodge´s dinning room which is surrounded by a jungle setting and has a beautiful sight of the Beni River.  After breakfast, a boat ride will take you up the river and an adventure stroll will start along a rainy forest stream. As the walk is in progress, the tour guide will explain the forest and fauna in the area. After having walked 1000 m, the group will arrive to a natural pool of crystal clear waters formed by an impressive waterfall. The visitor can take some time to bathe in the pool and if he/she wants to a refreshing back and feet massage in the waterfall. Return to the lodge on foot or boat for lunch. The visitor will take a rest in hammocks.
The tour guide might have to wake up the visitor in order to continue experiencing the jungle. This time, the stroll will take the visitor through a path full of medicinal plants – “San Miguel´s pharmacy”. This time, the tour guide will share his/her expertise in how to cure almost any kind of illness based on plants, natural medicine knowledge and a good relationship with Pachamama – Mother Earth.
After this unique session of knowledge, it will be time for supper.  Right after dinner, the visitor will either take a rest or take a stroll along the paths in the dark.  Flashlights are available at the lodge, for the visitor to admire in a more vivid manner the animals that are a lot more active at night time.
Once back at the lodge, it is very possible that the visitor will fall asleep before his/her head reaches the pillow.

Day 3
As soon as the sun rises, the visitors will have breakfast in order to be ready for the boat ride along Beni and Tuichi rivers. This tour goes through the Bala hills to Caquihuara in the Madidi Nat´l Park.  While the boats are navigating the rivers, it is very possible that you will see different kinds of alligators, capybaras, monkeys and other kinds of mammals drinking water in the river or resting on tree branches. In Caquihuara, the visitor will have the opportunity to see the almost extinct red and blue parrots that nest in this unique mud wall.  As the tour advances through the mud wall and with the parrots over flying the visitors- heads, lunch will be served in a picnic like setting.
If the visitor wants to, he/she can dive into it or maybe throw a fishing line in. After this experience, it will be time to return to the lodge where this unforgettable tour will reach its end in the late afternoon.
