The Choro Trail is one the best kept Inca trails. It is about 30% cobblestoned. It is believed that it was cobblestoned during the pre-Inca period in order to make commuting from the Altiplano to the Yungas easier.
All the rivers that start at the Andes Mountain Range flow through the enormous Amazon into the Atlantic Ocean. As you walk along this trail, you will be able to admire a unique variety of birds and exotic flowers as well as suspension bridges.

Day 1:

Hotel pick up.
Car transportation to the Andes summit located at 4,650 m (13,950´MSL) where the walk starts.
Five-hour walk from the Andes summit to Chucura.
Overnight camping.

Day 3:

As the third day elapses, you will cross some suspension bridges and be able to admire vegetation, flowers, birds, butterflies and others.
Overnight camping.

 

Day 4:

During the fourth day, only a three-hour walk is scheduled. The stroll will take you to Chairo – a small town – where the lowest altitude of 1,200 m (3,600´MSL) is reached.
At this point a car will be waiting for your party to take you to Coroico – a touristic town – where lunch will be eaten.  After lunch and a short sightseeing of the landscape, you will be taken back to La Paz city.
