Day 1:

Sightseeing for 3 hrs. visiting Murillo Square – the city´s Main Square dedicated to the head of the Independence Revolution of the city that took place on 07/16/1809. In La Paz there are quite a few colonial temples one of the most representative among them is San Francisco Church and Convent – built between the 1600´s and 1700´s which is an example of the Bolivian “Barroco Mestizo” style.  These places are important touristic sites and they are the most important gathering places for pacenians as well.


The tour continues strolling the downtown area and sightseeing the Witches´ Market which is another impressive touristic attraction. This market spreads through three colonial streets that offer the tourist unforgettable sights of street stalls that mix colorful hand-knitted clothing of natural camelid and sheep fibers; hides; souvenirs in gold, silver, tin and bronze; precious wood carvings; and others.

Next is a visit to the “Costumbrista Museum” and “Precious Metals Museum”

Finally the tour heads to the southern part of the city to take a walk around the famous “Moon Valley” where the tourist will be able to see extraordinary natural rock formations.
