Day 1:
07:00 Meeting at CAFÉ LA TERRAZA located on El Prado Boulevard next To Burger King
07:30 Departure organization
Baggage loading and along the back up car departure toward “the summit” 4750 m (14,250 feet) the highest point of the tour. Estimated duration: 1 hour
Arrival and baggage unloading, A KONA bicycle, gloves, helmet and a security jacket will be assigned to each visitor. All other additional equipment will also be assigned at this point.
Extended security briefing and a summary of the trip (Other languages available in advance)
09:15 Descent starts following the leader who is equipped with radio, tools and first aid kits. If the group is more than 7, there will be another guide.
The back up car and the rescue team will follow the group through the descent.
The first part of the journey is over paved road. Approximate time 40 minutes
10:00 Stop at Unduavi Toll. At this point, the MOST DANGEROUS ROAD IN THE WORLD tax is paid.
11:00 Refreshments, the guides will check your bike and brakes.
12:00 As you ride the bike, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. You will be able to FEEL the temperature change as well as the oxygen increase.
12:15 The Postal corner and San Juan waterfall. Second refreshment will be served. Ride through this spectacular waterfall that erodes the rock road little by little.
13:00 Wide open and dry part of the road. After passing narrow parts of the road, the visitor will be able to enjoy a wider and lower road where he/she can just relax or speed up as he/she wants to.
14:00 Arrival in Yolosa, navigate to LA SENDA VERDE (the green path) just passing Yolosa which is the end of the bike journey. A group picture will be taken and an artisanal beer will be served. Once you return all your equipment, you will receive the world famous THE MOST DANGEROUS ROAD IN THE WORLD t-shirt.
In LA SENDA VERDE (the green path) you will have an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch, take a good hot refreshing shower or swim in the swimming pool.
Return to La Paz in the back up vehicle and if you want to, you can stay in Coroico.
